The law in Victoria is that prizes must be worth 50% of the take.

You need:-

$          Tickets (envelopes), which come in bundles of 100  ($5.50 per bundle)

$          The Prize Board, which has a list of winning numbers displayed ($30 hire fee)

$          Three  ranges of prizes

How it works:-

$          Display prizes in three prize ranges.

$          Sell each ticket for $2, collect $200, give away prizes worth $100.

$          With each 100 tickets sold, you are going to give away :-

            ONE top shelf prize               value: $40                            Total:   $40.00

            FIVE middle shelf prizes      value: $7.50                         Total:   $37.50

            NINE lower shelf prizes        value: $2.50                         Total:   $22.50

Or some mixture of lower value prizes

This is only 15 prizes, but the more prizewinning numbers you have, the lower the value of individual prizes.

Obviously, you will need fewer top shelf prizes and many more lower shelf prizes.  However, we supply sufficient prizes in each category to last for all the tickets provided and then some.

For example, if you order 40 bundles of tickets (4000), we will provide 60 top shelf prizes, 200 middle shelf prizes and 360 lower shelf prizes so the last main prize winner will still have 20 prizes to choose from, and the last buyers will think they still have a chance to win those top shelf prizes.
