Keep in mind two things -
the Regulations regarding the value of prizes
the better the prize, the easier it is to sell tickets
When we select prizes, we keep our values to between 25% and 50% of the take. There are two reasons for this, one obviously being the better looking prize. The second reason is relates to running two prices of tickets, e.g., $1 and $2 - there would be an overlap of values if we went as low as 17%.
In choosing lines for your spinning wheel , we aim to cater for everyone. Depending on your clientele, the winners are likely to be
grannies, mums, dads, teenagers, or kids;
well-to-do, making ends meet, or battlers;
male or female;
young, middle-aged or old.
That covers everyone.
Such a wide range of people will have a wide range of interests and needs. This means that the goods are not necessarily something you would take as a prize, but then you are not going to win every spin.
When we select prizes for a spinning wheel for your fete, we keep all of the above in mind.
We will consider your neighbourhood and probable clientele, and will choose prizes we believe will meet their wants and needs. Depending on the wheel size and ticket price, we will include some bags, some electrical appliances, some decorative items for the home, kitchen lines, something for the garden or garage, manchester perhaps, soft toys, cars, dolls, games.
If you have particular preferences - "no balls because someone donates them", "no toys, because our clients are professionals with no kids" - we will adjust our selection to suit.
